Zagreb is
economic, cultural and political centre and also the
capital of Croatia. With its population of nearly one million
inhabitants, Zagreb is situated in the north-western part of
Croatia, on the crossroad which connects Adriatic sea with
the inland and the Balkan with the central Europe.
Thanks to
its great location and the development of the Croatian tourism,
Zagreb today can be easily reached by air from major
European airports, by rail from Turkey, Hungary, Serbia,
Slovenia, Bosnia and from Croatian cities like Split, Rijeka,
Zadar, Pula and Osijek, or by road from all directions using
new built and modern highways. Daily bus connections to
Croatian cities and bigger European centres like Vienna
Stockholm, Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, Zurich and Gothenburg.
